AQ test

Psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at Cambridge's Autism Research Centre have created the Autism-Spectrum Quotient, or AQ test. The test measures autistic traits in adults.

The following represents the results of a comparison between AQ-test and Aspie-quiz that was done in experimental version 4 of Aspie-quiz.

Total population: 684
AQ - Aspie score correlation: .81
AQ - NT score correlation: -.84
AQ - score diff correlation: .83

Using linear regression analysis between AQ-test score and various Aspie-quiz scores yields the following equations for converting AQ-test score to Aspie-quiz scores:

Aspie-score = 21.1 + 3.05 * AQ
NT-score = 196.2 - 3.30 * AQ
Diff = -175.1 + 6.35 * AQ

Using published studies of the AQ score in the control-group yields the following average Aspie-quiz scores:

AQ = 16.4
Aspie-score = 71.1
NT-score = 142.1
Diff = -71.0

In experimental version 4 of Aspie-quiz, the averages for the NT-control group are:

Aspie-score = 68
NT-score = 139
